How to use it
Tap a symbol to copy it and paste it wherever you like. To combine several, turn on «Select several» first: every symbol you tap is added to the box below, which you can edit, then tap «Copy all». In «Decorate a name», type your name and copy one of the frames, such as ꧁name꧂ or 『name』.
Why some games or phones show boxes
Every symbol here is a Unicode character, not a font or an image. A device can only draw a symbol if one of its installed fonts contains that character; if none does, you see an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Most recent phones show nearly all of them, but some games only allow certain characters in names or limit name length, and some symbols such as ꧁ ꧂ can count as more than one character. Paste it into the game before you confirm a name.
Screen readers
Screen readers may read these symbols out by their Unicode names or skip them. A name or an important message full of symbols can be hard or impossible to follow for someone using a screen reader. Use them as decoration and keep important information in plain text.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Copying symbols and decorating a name happen entirely in your browser. The name you type and the symbols you pick are not sent to a server and are not stored.
Frequently asked questions
What are text symbols?
Characters from the Unicode standard that aren't on a normal keyboard, such as ★ ♡ ꧁ ꧂ 亗. You copy and paste them into a name, a bio or a message like any other letter.
Can I use them in a gamer tag?
Usually, but each game has its own rules: some reject certain symbols, or count some as several characters so the name gets too long. Paste into the name field and check before you confirm.
Why does my friend see boxes?
Their device has no font containing that character. The text is the same; the device just can't draw it. Common symbols such as ★ ♡ → show up on almost every device.
Can I copy several symbols at once?
Yes. Tap «Select several», tap the symbols you want — they join up in the box below — then tap «Copy all».
Are there fancy fonts or an invisible character too?
