Type or paste below and get your text flipped upside down and reversed, ready to copy anywhere — Instagram, X, Discord, WhatsApp. These are real Unicode characters, so they paste into places that don't allow formatting. Everything runs in your browser.
Upside down text
How it works (and its limits)
Each letter is swapped for an existing Unicode character that happens to look like its upside-down twin (for example ǝ for e, ɥ for h), and the whole text is reversed so it reads naturally when rotated 180°.
Unicode has good flips for most lowercase letters, but some capitals and symbols have no convincing twin — those stay unchanged. It works for the basic Latin alphabet only; accented letters and other scripts pass through as they are.
Screen readers may read flipped text letter by letter or skip it entirely, so keep it decorative — don't use it for anything essential.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The flip is a simple character mapping that runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, stored, or logged.
How does upside down text work?
It isn't a font effect — each letter is replaced with a real Unicode character that looks like the upside-down version (ǝ, ɥ, ʇ…), and the text is reversed. Because they're ordinary Unicode characters, you can paste the result anywhere text is allowed.
Why do some characters stay the same?
Unicode doesn't contain an upside-down twin for every character. Letters and symbols without a convincing flipped counterpart pass through unchanged — that's a limit of Unicode itself, not of this tool.
Where can I use it?
Anywhere that accepts Unicode text: Instagram and TikTok bios, X posts, Discord, YouTube comments, WhatsApp. Screen readers may struggle with it, so use it for fun, not for essential information.
