Word Count Chinese Translator for Korean Text
Turn Korean messages, emails and study notes into Chinese without signing up. Korean relies on particles and verb endings, while Chinese relies on word order and characters, so the translator rebuilds each sentence instead of swapping words. You can choose Simplified or Traditional characters.

What changes when Korean becomes Chinese
Shared roots, different meanings
Much Korean vocabulary comes from Chinese characters, so many words line up neatly: 도서관 (doseogwan) is 图书馆 (túshūguǎn), “library”. Some pairs have drifted apart, though. 공부 (gongbu) means “study”, while 工夫 (gōngfu) in Chinese usually means time or effort. In mainland usage, 爱人 (àirén) usually means “spouse”, while Korean 애인 (aein) means a boyfriend or girlfriend.
From particles to word order
Korean usually puts the verb last and marks roles with particles such as 는, 가 and 를. Chinese has no case particles and puts the object after the verb. 저는 커피를 마셔요 becomes 我喝咖啡, with the particles gone and the verb moved to the middle.
Politeness lives in different places
Korean shows politeness mainly through verb endings such as -습니다 and -요. Chinese uses words instead, like 您 for “you” or 请 for “please”. The Tone setting lets you choose Formal (business email) or Casual output.
Dates and numbers
Korean dates use 년, 월 and 일, and Chinese uses the characters 年, 月 and 日: 2024년 5월 3일 becomes 2024年5月3日. Check prices and names in the result, because Korean won amounts are not converted.
How do I translate Korean to Chinese here?
Paste or type your Korean text, or use Dictate. Choose Simplified or Traditional Chinese and a Tone if you want one, then run the translation. The result appears next to your text with a Meaning kept: rating.
Can I get Traditional Chinese instead of Simplified?
Yes. The output script selector switches between Simplified (简体) and Traditional (繁體) characters.
Why do some Sino-Korean words come out differently in Chinese?
Many Korean words come from Chinese characters, but some have changed meaning over time. For example, 공부 means “study”, while 工夫 in Chinese usually means time or effort. The translator goes by meaning in context rather than by the shared characters.
How long can my Korean text be, and can I open a document?
Each run takes up to 5,000 characters, so split longer texts into parts. You can open a DOCX, ODT, RTF or TXT file. The text is placed in the editor, but formatting is not kept, and PDFs are not supported. To translate text from a photo or screenshot, use the «Photo / screenshot» button.
Is it safe to paste work emails or school assignments?
Your text is sent to an AI model, translated, returned and then discarded. It is not stored and not used for training.
Can I see how the Korean and the Chinese are pronounced?
Show pronunciation adds an approximate Latin-letter version under the result, using Revised Romanization for Korean and pinyin for Chinese. Read aloud plays the Chinese translation.
How are Korean polite endings handled?
With Match the original, the translator follows the register of your Korean. Choose Formal (business email) or Casual to set the Chinese tone yourself. Show alternatives offers two or three versions that differ in register.
Can I translate Chinese back into Korean?
Yes. Press Swap languages and your text stays in place while the direction reverses.
Can it translate photos of Korean menus or a live conversation?
Photos, yes; live conversation, no. Use the «Photo / screenshot» button to choose, take or paste an image; it is sent to the server and an AI model only to read the text and is not stored. There is no conversation mode. You can type or dictate Korean, and Read aloud will speak the Chinese result.
