What to know when translating Dutch into Polish

Both languages use the Latin alphabet

Dutch and Polish are written from left to right using the Latin alphabet. Polish adds letters with diacritics, including ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź and ż. Keep these marks in Polish words and names, since they are part of standard spelling and can distinguish words. No script conversion is needed between Dutch and Polish.

Polish endings carry grammatical information

Dutch relies more on word order and prepositions to show how words relate. Polish also uses case endings, so a noun or adjective may change form depending on its role in the sentence. Polish grammatical gender can affect related words, including some past-tense forms: zrobiłem is used by a male speaker, and zrobiłam by a female speaker. Check endings in context rather than translating each Dutch word separately.

Choose a form of address for the situation

Dutch je or jij is informal, while u is polite. In Polish, informal address commonly uses ty; polite address commonly uses pan or pani, with corresponding verb forms. The appropriate choice depends on the person and setting, so review forms of address in messages intended for work or someone you do not know well.

How do I translate Dutch to Polish here?

Enter or paste your Dutch text, choose a tone, and run the translation. You can review the result and its meaning check, then copy it.

Why can Polish translations use different word endings?

Polish case and gender affect noun phrases and related words, while Dutch often signals relationships through word order and prepositions. Review endings and forms of address in context.

Can I translate a long text or document?

Each run supports up to 5,000 characters. You can open a DOCX, ODT, RTF, or TXT file; its text is extracted in the browser and counts toward that limit. Formatting and layout are not preserved.

Is the Dutch text I translate stored?

Your text is sent to an AI model for translation, returned, and discarded. It is not stored or used for training, so consider the sensitivity of any text you enter.

Can I choose formal or casual Polish?

Yes. Use Tone to choose Formal (business email), Casual, or Match the original. Check whether pan, pani, or informal ty suits the person you are addressing.

Can I hear Polish pronunciation?

There is no separate pronunciation guide. Read aloud plays the translation using a browser voice, with an AI voice fallback if the browser has no voice for Polish.

Can I switch from Polish to Dutch?

Yes. Select Swap languages to reverse the direction while keeping the text.

Can I translate a photo or have a spoken conversation?

No. Photo translation and voice conversation are not available. You can Dictate Dutch speech into the input box or use Read aloud for the Polish translation.
