Translate Romanian to Thai with Tone Choice and Romanization
Whether you are planning a trip to Thailand, writing to Thai colleagues or learning the language, this page turns your Romanian text into Thai. Thai has its own script, usually leaves no spaces between words and shows politeness with particles rather than verb endings. That is why you can pick a tone and view a romanization of the result.

What changes when Romanian becomes Thai
A new script with few spaces
Romanian uses the Latin alphabet with the letters ă, â, î, ș and ț. Thai has its own script with 44 consonant letters, and vowels can be written before, after, above or below a consonant. Like Romanian, it runs left to right. Spaces usually mark the end of a phrase or sentence, not the end of each word.
Politeness lives in particles
In Romanian, you show respect with dumneavoastră and plural verb forms. In Thai, speakers often end a sentence with a polite particle: ครับ (khrap) for male speakers and ค่ะ (kha) for female speakers. Several phrases in the table below end in ครับ or use ผม (phom, “I” for men). A woman would say ค่ะ and often ดิฉัน (dichan) instead.
No verb endings, articles or gender
Romanian verbs change for person and tense, as in mergem (“we go”). The past often uses a compound form with an auxiliary, as in am mâncat (“I ate”). Thai verbs keep one form, and time is shown by context or by words like จะ (cha, future) and แล้ว (laeo, already). Thai also has no equivalent of the Romanian definite article joined to the end of a noun, as in băiatul (“the boy”).
Counting needs a classifier
Romanian counts directly: două cafele. In Thai, a number is usually followed by a classifier that matches the kind of thing being counted: กาแฟสองแก้ว (kafae song kaeo), literally “coffee two glass”.
How do I translate Romanian to Thai here?
Type or paste your Romanian text into the input box, or use Dictate to speak it. Choose a Tone if you like, then start the translation. The Thai result appears next to your text, ready to copy or hear with Read aloud.
Why do Thai translations often end in ครับ or ค่ะ?
These are polite particles. Male speakers usually say ครับ (khrap) and female speakers ค่ะ (kha), and Romanian has nothing that works quite the same way. If the result uses the wrong one for you, simply swap the particle, and change ผม to ดิฉัน where it appears.
Can I see how to pronounce the Thai text?
Yes. Click Show pronunciation to see an approximate RTGS-style romanization in Latin letters under the result. RTGS does not mark Thai tones, so treat it as a rough guide and use Read aloud to hear the translation.
How long can my text be, and can I open a document?
Each run takes up to 5,000 characters, so split longer Romanian texts into parts. You can open a DOCX, ODT, RTF or TXT file, and its text is placed in the editor. Formatting is not kept, and PDFs and images are not supported.
Is it safe to paste hotel bookings or personal messages?
Your text is sent to an AI model, translated, returned and then discarded. It is not stored and not used for training. Still, it is wise to leave out passport or card numbers you do not need translated.
Should I choose Formal or Casual for Thai?
Use Formal (business email) for hotels, offices and official messages, and Casual for chats with Thai friends. Match the original follows the tone of your Romanian text. Show alternatives offers 2–3 other phrasings in different registers.
Can I translate from Thai back into Romanian?
Yes. Click Swap languages to reverse the direction, and your text stays in place.
Can I translate a photo of a Thai menu or sign?
No, the translator does not read photos or images. You can type the text, paste it, or dictate it into the input box instead.
How do I know the Thai translation kept the meaning?
After each translation, a second AI check compares the two texts and shows the Meaning kept: label with a confidence band. It is an estimate, so double-check names, dates, prices and negations like nu yourself.
